Ultra Pure Trombone Slide Oil has a fast, glossy feel that will delight you. It passes all the tests — fast motions, hand vibrato, and slow, smooth glissandos. It typically lasts for at least a few days, and does not need water mist. A little mist won’t hurt it, but the moisture from your blowing is enough to keep this lube moist.
It also works well for oiling plastic trombone slides, such as pBone and Tromba slides. Put plenty of the lube on the inner slides and rub it in with your fingers to lubricate the inner tubes. Then lube the stockings and work the slide in and out to spread it.
