COVID-19 Level 3 Announcement

We’re going to be back in the workshop after 5 weeks of lockdown, and we have a backlog to clear:
- If you left your instrument with us, we’d like to thank you for being so patient – getting your instrument finished will be our highest priority.
- Bookings - If you had booked your instrument to come in for repair while we were closed, we will be in touch shortly to reschedule this with you.
- All repairs will be dispatched by courier while we are in Level 3 – we will not have a Click and Collect option just yet, but this may change in the future if Level 3 is extended.
- New repairs will be accepted via courier, but initial priority will be given to repairs that were already on the premises when we had to shut the doors.
Hygiene - All instruments will be thoroughly externally cleaned by our staff before dispatch, and we request that you do the same before sending any instruments to us (please also drain any moisture out of water keys etc). All new repairs will have a “sitting period” of several days to make sure they are as safe as possible before any of our staff handle them. Instrument and personal hygiene have always been a top priority at ABI Music, and we all know how important this is in dealing with brass and woodwind instruments. Following on from our usual high cleaning and hygiene standards we already have in place, we will continue to do our utmost during this time to ensure the safety of all our customers and staff.
All our technicians always use their own mouthpieces for their (and your) protection.
Another way we want to help you is to offer FREE COURIER on all completed repairs during Alert Level 3.

The shop/office staff will be working from home during Level 3.
We can take phone orders or receive email orders directly or via our website.
All orders will be contactless – we will courier all goods to you upon receipt of payment.
All goods sold will be handled by one staff member, following all the appropriate safety procedures as required during Alert Level 3.
Due to hygiene reasons, we won’t be able to offer trials on mouthpieces or instruments or goods on appro during Alert Level 3.
All orders will be shipped by courier free of charge during Alert Level 3.

We do have a small number of rental instruments still available for the rest of the year and can organise these via email.
If you have a rental instrument that needs adjustments, please get in touch – as always, as a rental customer your repairs are our highest priority.
